Cadwalader’s Fund Finance team is seeking staff attorneys in our Charlotte, NC, and New York, NY, offices. 2024 law school graduates will be considered. The Fund Finance Group represents financial institutions providing financing to private equity funds.  As a staff attorney in the Fund Finance Group, your responsibilities will include reviewing and answering certain diligence questions with respect to a private equity fund's organizational documents, such as the limited partnership agreement and any letter agreements entered into between the private equity fund and an investor.  With the guidance of senior members of the deal team, you would also be responsible for drafting documentation to memorialize the loan to the private equity fund and the security pledged in support of such loan. The position requires strong time management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage responsibilities on multiple engagements.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $125,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, and, if applicable, the location from which the applicant will be performing the job.

We have an opportunity in our London office for a senior associate to join our growing Leveraged Finance & Private Credit Group. The team is co-headed by Matthew Smith and Smridhi Gulati and acts for an impressive list of private credit funds, banks, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 5-7 years’ experience in Leverage Finance / Private Credit
• Keen interest in and knowledge of leverage finance, private credit and debt instruments throughout the capital structure.
• Experience working with clients at private credit funds, private equity sponsors and other financial institutions in the European and US market.
• Experience on debt restructurings helpful but not imperative.
• Experience of managing multi-jurisdictional transactions.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced transactional role.
• Be driven, entrepreneurial, interested in business development, meeting clients, attending business meetings, training juniors. Must be a team player.
• Experience of a similar role at a leading legal practice in the UK.
• Excellent academic background

Cadwalader’s Capital Markets department is seeking mid-level and senior associates with a minimum of 3 years of substantial experience in securitization, structured finance and structured products. CLO, CMBS, Repo and other ABL finance experience is also a plus, but not required. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and solid law firm work experience.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $260,000 to $435,000.
